The Eagles won the Commonwealth District Tournament at home on Tuesday night with a strong 58-36 victory over the Brooke Point Black Hawke. The Hawks were the only team to defeat the Eagles during the regular season but that 54-53 win on their home floor back on December 6th was just a faint memory on this night.

The Eagles again with a strong start, outscoring Brooke Point 16-6 in the opening frame and it was all down hill from there. The 30-17 halftime lead the Eagles took to the locker room could have been much worse if the home team didn't struggle from the free throw line. The "good gals" were 4-12 in the first half from the charity stripe and it didn't get much better in the second half as the Eagles finished 8-24 from the line on the night.

The Forge was led  by Cameren Downs 18 points, Jenna Grey with 12, Le'Taysha Arrington had 11 with a strong thrid quarter (9 points) in the paint and Brayla Bogier also tossed in 10 for the Forge who will host the Patriot Pioneers in the first round of the 6B Regional Tournament on Friday night at 6:30pm.
