Dear SCPS Families,
Based on Governor Northam’s Executive Order 72, and recommendations from the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and the Virginia High School League (VHSL), SCPS has made the decision to postpone winter sports until further clarification is provided.
These new requirements state that athletes in certain sports must wear masks at all times during group training, competition, and on the sidelines.
I understand this is a difficult time for our student athletes, and I understand the many benefits participation in sports provides. However, the new executive orders released yesterday require further clarification from the VHSL and VDH on how these requirements will impact our student athletes.
I will work with my administrative team to provide further clarification from VHSL and VDH during the first week in January.

Try-Outs for the 2020-2021 Colonial Forge Wrestling Team will be held on Monday, Jan 11th & Tuesday, Jan 12th in the Auxiliary Gym. Try-outs for both days will held from 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm. Returning wrestlers need to show up to both of these days! After January 12, the roster will be FINAL, meaning nobody can join after January 12th so please make arrangements to attend.
After these two days, The practice schedule for the rest of the week will be Wednesday through Saturday from 7 am to 9 am.

At this time the Wrestling program will be participating in pre-season conditioning activities.
We can officially begin off season conditioning, beginning on October 5. There are several forms you need before you may participate. Our workouts will be held Mondays and Thursdays from 5:00 pm to 6:15 pm
Under the team links tab, It has all the documents that are needed for the students to participate as well as a return to wrestling procedure document that has the things that they need to have with them when they come on Monday.

From this point forward, we will be keeping the same days, which is Monday and Thursday, but we will be moving the times back an hour due to the daylight savings time. So our schedules is now Monday and Thursday 4:00 - 5:15 pm.
